Monica Taylor
I discovered Pilates in 2005 while living in Chicago, Illinois. I was introduced to the Method by a friend who recommended Pilates for my back problems. I was hooked from the first session. It wasn’t long after, that I began to notice the positive benefits of Pilates for my body.
One of the main reasons I decided to become a certified Pilates instructor is because Pilates is a great life-long discipline that can benefit everyone in whatever stage of life they are in. Pilates is empowering, it truly maximizes each person’s potential to be fit, strong and flexible.
In 2009, I received my comprehensive Pilates Certification (Mat, Standing, and Apparatus) with the PhysicalMind Institute based out of NYC. While living in New Orleans, LA and continuing my training of the Method, I was honored to be invited to attend a Heritage Pilates workshop where I met and trained under Joseph Pilates’ protégé, Romana Kryzanowska. I currently continue to build my knowledge of the Method by attending additional workshops and conferences when possible. I am also pursuing a second certification in the traditional (Classical) Pilates Method with Power Pilates.
I enjoy working with clients from various fitness levels and abilities, from athletes to clients with various injuries or conditions.
