I started Pilates after the birth of her first son as a way to strengthen my core following a cesarean section. My experience with Pilates not only helped in my rehabilitation but also opened my eyes to the possibilities that Pilates held for others in her life. My husband suffers from Muscular Dystrophy and has been wheelchair bound since 2001. After seeing what the Pilates method had done for my body, I introduced it to my husband as a way for him to increase his own mobility as well as work on core strength, flexibility and general back care management. My experience with my husband encouraged me to become certified in Pilates in order to work with other people who face physical challenges. Whether they be new mothers, new grandparents, cancer survivors, people suffering from neuromuscular diseases, or joint problems I enjoy working with people to find the specific ways in which Pilates can help them reach their fitness goals. I am also a licensed Pilates for Buff Bones™ instructor, and I am trained to work with clients suffering from osteoporosis and low bone density. In 2012 I bought in to Pilates of Cherry Creek. I am busy learning how to run a business and enjoying every minute of it! When not in the studio I enjoy spending time with my three children, Grant, Jonathan, and my baby girl Della and going for long runs with my dog Beau.
