add studio to google maps
Listing your studio on Google is one of the first and most important steps in helping potential clients find you.

If you want to know why it is important to list your studio on Google please read this handy Local SEO guide for Pilates Studios.

Some of you might be thinking: “I run a home studio and I don’t want to share my address publicly.”

I totally understand and honestly I don’t share my address for my Web Development Agency GP Web Lab either.

But now you can add your studio to Google Maps even without listing your address (I will show you how in the video below.)

Do you want to list your studio on Google Maps? Excellent! I can show you how to get that done as well.

STEP 1. Head over to Google My Business.

STEP 2. Watch the video below and follow the steps to create your listing for FREE. You will be done in 10 minutes or less.

Step 3. Optional but highly recommended. While you are in the mood for listing your studio on Maps use Bing Places for Business to add your studio to Bing Maps as well. The steps will be very similar to the ones you take on Google.

Make sure to enter the same business name, description and contact details on both listings as it is one of the ranking factors for your website in search engines.

You are set. Now you will wait several days to get your verification postcard (make sure to not throw it in the trash!) and then your business will be listed.

Step 4. It will take at least 3-4 weeks for your listing to start showing up in search results on Maps. Keep updating the information and generating reviews, this is your best strategy to get more traffic for your local listing.
