How can you increase revenue from your Pilates business?
As a Pilates teacher, your time is a valuable resource and you can’t be teaching 50 hours of Pilates sessions/classes every week. Or maybe you don’t have enough clients to fill up all your time slots but you still need to make a living with your Pilates passion. What do you do?
Creating and selling a Pilates-related product online can be the right choice for you. You can promote this product to your current clients and also reach customers almost anywhere in the world. However, all of this is possible only if your website is optimized for sales and performance.
Selling online is not as difficult as it seems as long as you have a good plan and the right tools. Here are a couple of ideas that might spark your creativity:
- Writing a book or an illustrated guide
- Creating a DVD for a specific condition
- Creating an online course/video tutorial (for example, Pilates 101, Pilates for Gymnasts, Pilates for Golfers – anything that you are passionate and knowledgeable about)
- Selling Pilates related products (this one can be a bit more difficult since you have to find suppliers and do serious market research.)
- Pilates art and Studio Art

I live in London, England. My daughter is a very successful and therefor busy Pilates teacher. She has 3 lovely children and a busy husband who is head of the English department of a college in Switzerland where they all live. Hence her schedule is so tight, I have offered to help her make a website for her Pilates business. She has a studio in her home with all the equipment; parallel bars, reformer etc. and also teaches locally at 3 different studios around her town.
My questions are:
1) As PilatesBridge.com is a USA company, with my paying for the website with a UK credit card, would that be accepted?
2) As my daughter would be updating the website in Switzerland, would that be accepted.
I look forward to hearing back from you soon. Many thanks!
