VIDEO: Advanced Pilates Core Flow on the Mat, 30 Minutes

Summer is here and it means that most of us are ready for pool parties and going to the beach. My schedule has all of a sudden gotten 10 times busier because the kids are out of school and there are so many fun things to do: outdoor festivals, grill-outs with friends, hiking in the mountains, going out on a boat, playing in the sprinklers with the kids (who said that adults didn’t do that?)

With all this summer fun it is even harder to find time for regular exercise. I am personally a firm believer in 30-minute workouts because this is all that I can “afford” on a regular basis. However, if we have ONLY 30 minutes to work out we need to be smart about the exercises that we choose so that we can get the most “bang per minute.”

Today I wanted to share with you my Pilates go-to mat workout that adds a contemporary twist and flowing transitions to the classical Pilates mat exercises (and I love classical mat order the way it is, it’s on my weekly workout rotation list as well.) Your core will be burning but of course your entire body will get an excellent workout. It is an intermediate-advanced workout so if you are looking for a less intense Pilates workout then try this one.

      • Anastasiya,

Definitely enjoyed the flow, I was following through the video last night and it was indeed a great 30 minutes workout 🙂 Though i’m not a Pilates instructor, I do Pilates with some friends and I had the most amazing time and I just love being physically healthy and Pilates had really helped me with my fitness goals.
I just started a couple months ago and I’m still discovering the Pilates Method and your blog is just lovely 🙂
You keep up the great work! xoxo

        Cheers,
        Justine
